Hester E. (Elfreich) Holsclaw, 94, of Evansville, passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2005, at VNA Charlier Hospice Center. Hester was a graduate from the first class at Bosse High School that attended all four years. She had served as Chairman of the Board at Holsclaw Brothers. Hester was a member of the Evansville Country Club, Kennel Club, was a previous member of St. Paul's and St. Michael's Episcopal Churches, and was an avid bridge player. She is survived by daughters, Ann Partridge and her husband Don, Mary Heumann and her husband John all of Evansville; five grandsons, Jeff Perrin and his wife Myra of Indianapolis, Mike Perrin and his wife Melody of Atlanta, Georgia, Jim Perrin and his wife Tanya of Athens, Georgia, John Heumann and his wife Michele of Springfield, Illinois, Greg Heumann and his wife Lourdes of Bloomington; granddaughter, Gayle Allesee and her husband Pete of Perrysburg, Ohio; step grandchildren, Beth Arnold, Brian and Craig Partridge; 21 great-grandchildren; and a niece, Terry Calhoun. Hester is preceded in death by her husband Chuck Holsclaw and a brother Roy Elfreich. Services will be private with Rev. Dr. Richard Godbold officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 3 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, December 29, at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Ave. Memorial contributions may be made to Visiting Nurse's Association Hospice.
