Harvey C. "Beama" Martin, 91, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Thursday, October 4, 2007, at Transcendent Healthcare of Owensville, Ind.
Harvey graduated from Bosse High School with the Class of 1933. He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, where he was a long-time member of the choir. Harvey retired from Plumbing and Industrial Supply Company. He was also a member of the Songfellows Chapter of the SPEBSQSA. He joined the Boy Scouts of America at the age of twelve and remained an active member his entire life.
Surviving are his wife, Mary (Farny) Martin, of Evansville; daughter, Judy Carmack of Wellington, Fla.; son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Sue Martin of Haines City, Fla.; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 2 stepdaughters, Mary Jane Barrett and her husband, Jerry, of Owensville, Ind., and Wilma Wathen and her husband, Rod, of Mt. Vernon, Ind.; stepson, Tom Shoulders and his wife, Dorothy, of Newburgh; 11 stepgrandchildren and 24 stepgreat-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Dora Hedges Martin, second wife, Ruth Jones Martin, parents, Esther (Drewlinger) and Robert Lee Martin.
Funeral services are planned for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 10, 2007, at St. Paul's United Church of Christ German Township, 8701 Big Cynthiana Road, Evansville, with Pastor Dan Sather officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
