Marjorie S. (Mutschler) Ankrom, 89, daughter of the late Edgar and Helen Mutschler, died Thursday, July 7, 2005, at the Heritage Center in Evansville. Marjorie graduated from Bosse High School in 1933. She was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church for over 60 years. She had been a long-standing member of the choir and had a great love of singing. Earlier in life, she had placed second in a national singing competition in Dallas, Texas. Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Warren S. Ankrom, in 1985; and daughter-in-law, Judith Ankrom, in 2001. Surviving are sons, Gary of Birmingham, Ala., and Bob and wife Mary of Poseyville, Ind.; grandson, David Ankrom of Indianapolis; and granddaughter and her husband, Kristi and Steve Shea of Indianapolis. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, July 9, 2005, at Alexander East Chapel. Entombment will be in Oak Hill Mausoleum. Friends may call Saturday from 10 a.m. until service time at Alexander East Chapel.
