Good bye, Aunt Florabelle... returning home will not be the same. You, Uncle Cardie and Larry were always such a close part of our family. I enjoyed our times together! I'm so glad I was able to share you with my family--my husband (who shares your birthday) and my daughter (Julia Mason) and her family. You had a great life and have left us with many wonderful memories.
Let me share some humor with everyone: In Oct 2005 at the family reunion, as we shared a hug I told you, "You're my favorite Aunt." You immediately fired back (with a big smile), "I'm your ONLY Aunt"! We had a good chuckle with that! Your mind was sharp until the end.
You've earned your reward home and I hope you will spend a joyous eternity with those you loved and who sadly went before you. Our loss is their gain.
With love and sadness. Jean and Bill Hendricks (Annandale, VA)

It seems like just the other day I was visiting Aunt Florabelle at the jewelry store. I loved the way she smelled, that she was surrounded by gorgeous jewels everyday and how she knew (what seemed to me at 5) Everyone in town! It was always a treat to get to see her when I was visiting; she was always a pillar of strength to witness.
Flash forward to Spring 2006, my mom, my 2 daughters, and I were able to go see Aunt Florabell at the Rehabilitation place. Not a big surprise; She knew everyone on her wing! Of course she looked the same, she never aged (at least in my mind), and my kids (a teenager and "tween") enjoyed their visit and still talk about the great stories they heard just in the few hours we were there.
My heart felt condolences for those who have lost her. Think of all the great memories we have of her and how much better we all are because we knew and were loved by her!
Peace, Julia, Jessica, Caitlyn, Craig. Mason (Fairfax, VA)
