Herman L. Kreipke

Herman L. Kreipke, 91, of Zionsville, Indiana, formerly of Evansville, passed away Friday, September 5, 2008. He was born March 6, 1917, in Henderson, Kentucky.

Herman graduated in 1935 from Bosse High School.

He was a WWII Veteran serving in the U.S. Army. Herman was a member of V.F.W. Post No. 1114. Herman worked at Mel Kay Electric for 35 years. He was a member of the International Electrician Workers Local No. 16.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha J. (Madden) Kreipke, in 2003.

Herman is survived by his sons, Donald L. Kreipke and wife, Shirley, of Zionsville and David J. Kreipke and wife, Martha, of St. Louis, Mo.; grandchildren, Rebecca, Daniel, Vince, and Tyler Kreipke; nephews, Terry Crane and Allen Crane and wife, Ann; and niece, Connie Schnapf and husband, Joe, all of Evansville.

Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 10, 2008, at Alexander West Chapel, with burial at Alexander Memorial Park. The Vanderburgh County Retired Veterans Club will conduct military graveside services. Friends may visit Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
