Hugh H. "Tuck" Tucker


Hugh H. "Tuck" Tucker, age 89, of Evansville, died Monday, Dec. 18, 2006, at Evansville Protestant Home.

Hugh was a 1935 graduate of Bosse High School and U.S. Army veteran of WWII, serving in the 607th Tank Destroyer Battalion.

He was a life member of Lessing Lodge No. 464 and a member of the Evansville Coin Club. Tuck was an honorary member of Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity at University of Evansville and an Aces basketball fan. He was a salesman involved in sales of insurance and securities.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the caring and professional staff of the Evansville Protestant Home and Home Instead Senior Care.

Tuck was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Berilla M. Tucker in 1999, and an infant son, John D. Tucker in 1947.

Tuck is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Steve Loewenkamp of Newburgh, and Cinda and David Korkhouse of Granger, Ind.; three grandchildren, Steve Loewenkamp Jr., and Keri and Kyle Korkhouse; and three great-grandchildren, Sofia and Anika Loewenkamp and Kyra Korkhouse.

There will be no public visitation. Services and burial will be private.

Boone Funeral Home East Chapel, 5330 Washington Ave., Evansville, Ind., is handling the arrangements.
