Clarence Roeder, 89, of Evansville, passed away Thursday, Sept. 6, 2007, at Deaconess Hospital. He was born on Feb. 27, 1918, in Evansville and was a 1936 graduate of Bosse High School. Clarence had previously worked at Keller Crescent and had retired from Schnacke's Air Conditioning. He had currently been working as a self-employed Public Accountant where he had several accounts. He served in the United States Army during World War II. Clarence was a member of Christian Fellowship Church where he served as an usher. He was also a member of the VFW Post 1114.
He is survived by twin brother, Raymond T. Roeder, of Evansville; nieces, Janis E. and Gerald L. Boyer, of Mount Vernon, Ind. and Debbie and Bud Fransos, of St. Peter, Mich.; great-nieces, Dana and Willie Houchin, of Mount Vernon, Ind.; brothers-in-law, Paul Pierce and his wife, Joann, of Evansville, and Donnie Pierce and his wife, Marty, of Petersburg, Ky. and several other nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Edith (Whight) and John Roeder; his first wife, Ferol Roeder, second wife, Frances L. Roeder; a sister, Frieda Naas and a brother, John Roeder. Funeral service is planned for noon, Monday, Sept. 10, 2007, at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville with the Rev. Spencer Downs officiating. Burial to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Evansville. Friends may visit from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 9, 2007, at Browning Funeral Home.
