Raymond T. Roeder, 91, of Mt. Vernon, Ind., formerly of Evansville, passed away at the Mt. Vernon Nursing & Rehabilitation.

Raymond was a former member of St. John United Church of Christ and attended Christian Fellowship Church. He was a 1936 graduate of Bosse High School. He retired from Canteen Services and enjoyed gardening. He was always willing to help anyone whenever he was needed.

Surviving are his daughter, Janis Boyer and husband, Gerald, of Mt. Vernon, Ind.; granddaughter, Dana Rae Houchin and husband, Willie, of Mt. Vernon, Ind.; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Frances, in 2003, twin brother, Clarence, in 2007, brother, John, in 1996, and sister, Frieda Naas, in 1990.

Services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 12, at Ziemer Funeral Home Central Chapel, with the Reverend Spence Downs officiating. Burial will be in Locust Hill Cemetery.

Visitation is from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, August 11, at Ziemer Funeral Home Central Chapel, 626 N. First Ave., Evansville.

The family would like to thank the staff at Medco Rehabilitation in Mt. Vernon, Indiana, for all the special care they provided. Memorial contributions may be made to Christian Fellowship Church, 4100 Millersburg Rd., Evansville, IN 47725.
