Robert "Bob" N. Wilson, 90, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Sunday, November 1, 2009, at Bethel Manor.

Bob was a 1936 graduate of Bosse High School. He graduated from Indiana University in 1940 receiving his degree in Finance and Banking. Wartime priorities led Bob into manufacturing where he rose through the ranks to become senior vice-president for finance at Shane Manufacturing Company after 40 years. He was also an agent for Hercules Realty Co., an independent financial consultant, and Chairman of the Board of Fountain Manufacturing Corporation. Bob founded Shane Employees Credit Union during World War II and managed it until it was discontinued. He was a charter member of the local chapters of National Office Management Association (now AMS) and National Association of Cost Accountants (now NAA), and he was active in Jaycees, Optimist Club, Evansville Junior Chamber of Commerce, the United Way, Owls and Moose Clubs and Christ the King Catholic Church.

Surviving are his stepmother, Dorothy (Williams) Wilson, Evansville; brothers, William "Bill" (Sarah) Wilson, Huntington Beach, Calif.; half brother, Richard "Dick" Wilson, Evansville; half sisters, Libby Carroll, Colorado, Martha (Allen) Wesson, New Mexico, and Diane McKenzie, New Mexico; sons, Dave (Doris) Wilson, Indianapolis, Jim (Jenny) Wilson, Owensboro, Ky., and Jeff (Dean) Wilson, Newburgh; daughters, Sara (Ron) Barr, Evansville and Jean (Michael) Bickwermert, Clarksville, Ind.; 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by parents, Mary Kathryn (Levi) and Noble L. Wilson, brother, John Wilson, first wife, Ruth (Titzer) Wilson, and second wife, Helen L. (Meyer) Wilson.

Funeral services will begin at 9 a.m. Friday, November 6, 2009, at Browning Funeral Home continuing at 9:45 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church, 3010 E. Chandler Ave., with Monsignor Kenneth Knapp celebrating the funeral Mass. Burial will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Friends may visit 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday, November 5, 2009, at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Avenue, Evansville, IN, with a prayer service at 4 p.m. Friends may also visit from 8:30 a.m. till service time on Friday at the funeral home.
