Edna F. (Arnold) Werner

Edna F. (Arnold) Werner, 87, of Evansville, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 4, 2007, at Deaconess Hospital.

Edna retired as an accountant with Bernardin Bottle Cap Company in 1980. She was a former member of St. James East United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Trinity Sunday school class and currently a member of McCutchanville Community Church. She was a 1937 graduate of Bosse High School.

Edna is survived by her husband of 70 years, Sidney E. Werner of Evansville; her daughter, Mary Elizabeth Werner of Evansville; a brother-in-law, George Werner of Evansville; two nieces; four nephews; and many, many great-nieces and -nephews.

Edna is preceded in death by her parents, George W. and Rena V. (Creek) Arnold; a brother, Merle Arnold; a sister, Mary (Arnold) Gross; a nephew, Ronald Gross; and a niece, Betty J. Northern.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 7, at Ziemer Funeral Home Central Chapel, 626 First Ave., with the Rev. Robert Vaster officiating. Entombment will be in Memorial Park Mausoleum. Visitation will be today, Feb. 6, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the Hadi Shrine Temple Transportation Fund.
