Boonville resident Anna Belle (Clary) Cole passed away on Monday, April 21 at the Baker's Rest Haven in Boonville. She was 94. Anna was born April 15, 1919 in Evansville to George and Nettie Clary. She was a 1937 graduate of Bosse High School and after graduation worked for Crown Pottery. Anna was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxillary and a member of the First Christian Church in Evansville where she was also baptized. She married James C. Cole on Dec.18, 1948. She and her husband, who served in the Army, had many travels including overseas travel to Okinawa, Japan. She was a homemaker and enjoyed dancing. Anna Belle never met a stranger and was a compassionate lady who dearly loved her family. Anna is survived by her daughter, Susie Peerman and her husband, John; her son, Jim Cole and his wife, Valerie; four grandchildren, Shelly Marksbury and her husband, Tom, Cole Peerman, Jacob Peerman, and Autumn Cole; two great-grandchildren, Samantha and Payton Marksbury. Anna was preceded in death by her husband James in 1961; her brother William "Bill" Clary and a sister, Margaret Buedel. The family would like to thank the employees of Baker's Rest Haven for their loving care of Anna Belle. Services were held Wednesday, April 23 at 1 p.m. at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel in Evansville with Rev. Simon Leon officiating. Burial followed in Oak Hill Cemetery in Evansville. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church, in downtown Evansville. |
