Theresa H. [Fisher (?)] Wiener
Theresa H. [Fisher (?)] Wiener, 84, formerly of Evansville and Rockport, Ind., passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2005, at St. Vincent's Hospital in Carmel, Indiana.
Early in life, Theresa was a librarian and later was owner and salesperson at Weil's Store in Rockport.
She was a 1938 graduate of Bosse High School and received her degree in 1942 from Indiana University. Theresa was a member of the Temple Adath B'nai Israel and had been president of the sisterhood at the temple on Washington Avenue. She served as president of the PTA at Rockport Elementary School. Theresa was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling with her husband all over the world.
She is survived by her sons, Richard Wiener and his wife, Beth of Oxford, Ohio, and David Wiener and his wife, Maria of Indianapolis. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Eric, Seth, Sarah, Jacob, and Elyse Wiener.
Theresa is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph, in 2002.
Graveside services 3 p.m. Thursday, September 15, in Rose Hill Cemetery in Evansville, with Rabbi Barry Friedman officiating.
There will be a celebration of her life in Rockport, Indiana, on Thursday night. Memorial contributions may be made to the Rockport Library Fund, the Indianapolis Hebrew Congregation Library Fund or the Temple Adath B'nai Library Fund. Arrangements are being handled by Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel.
