H. Paul Caywood, 82, of Evansville, Indiana, formerly of Carlisle, died Thursday, September 18, 2003, in Evansville. He was a native of Nicholas County, son of Lillie Wilcoxson Caywood and the late John Caywood of Evansville. He was a retired school teacher in Peoria, Illinois. He acted with the Evansville area theaters and with numerous other companies. He was a graduate of Bosse High School, Evansville College and the University of Illinois. He published a number of works, including the Half-Hour Classics and Davy & The Players. He was a 30-year member of Trinity United Methodist Church, where he was in the church choir. Survivors, in addition to his mother, include a sister - Anna (& Charles) Emmerson of Evansville; a sister-in-law - Doris Caywood, Evansville; two nieces, a nephew; and several great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers - James, Kelly & Kenneth Caywood. Services were conducted Monday, September 22, in the Sunnyside Cemetery at Mt. Tabor by Rev. Steve Smith. Arrangements were by Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home. |
