Dorothy E. (Lindeman) McGuyer, age 82, of Evansville , Ind. , died at 9:40 p.m. Wednesday, June 9, 2004 , at Deaconess Hospital .

Mrs. Dorothy McGuyer was a 1939 graduate of Bosse High School and a 1940 graduate of Bramwell Business College . She was a lifetime member of Bethel United Church of Christ, where she taught Sunday school, vacation Bible school and was a member of the Priscilla Circle.Mrs. Dorothy McGuyer was a member of the Robert Morris Chapter Order of Eastern Star and a charter member of the Amateur Radio Auxiliary of the Tri-State Amateur Radio Society. She held an amateur radio license WN9HUY and enjoyed the International Morse code. She enjoyed her collection of Teddy Bears which were mostly gifts from family and friends.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Clifford McGuyer of Evansville , Ind. ; a brother-in-law, Gene McGuyer and his wife, Nancy of Evansville, Ind.; cousins; and a good friend and caregiver, Kathy Bass.

Funeral services 10 a.m. Saturday, June 12, 2004, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel, 5330 Washington Avenue, with Dr. Joseph W. Fraccaro and Reverend Donald Bernhardt officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery .

Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 11, 2004 , at Boone Funeral Home, East Chapel, and from 8 a.m. until service time, Saturday, June 12, 2004 , at the funeral home.
