Geraldine E. Ritz, 84, of Evansville, passed away on Wednesday, July 20, 2005, at Deaconess Hospital.

Geraldine was a psychiatric attendant at the Evansville State Hospital, where she had worked for more than 20 years. She was a 1939 graduate of Bosse High School and attended St. Anthony Catholic Church.

Geraldine is survived by her sons, John Ritz and his wife, Debra, and Tom Ritz and his wife, Ronda, all of Evansville; grandchildren, Aaron Sorenson, Ben Ritz, Logan Ritz, Katheryn Ritz, Shawna Harlan and Jason Baize; and a niece, Sherri Cox.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul V. Ritz, and a daughter, Terri Ritz.

There will be no visitation or services at Ziemer Funeral Home Central Chapel, 626 First Avenue. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, 4424 Vogel Road, Evansville, Indiana 47715.
