Elsie Violet Boyne of Evansville passed away in Houston, Texas on December 13, 2011 at 88 years of age.

She attended Bosse High [1941] and was the wife and widow of William Paul MacGregor who was killed in France during WWII, and was also from Evansville.

She was a loving mother, great friend, and respected business woman. She delighted all with stories of her adventures traveling the world as a gem trader after starting her own business, Cosa Mia Imports, in Houston in 1972.

Elsie was a woman of remarkable character, strength and resiliency and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her two loving sons Bryan Boyne of Houston, and Paul MacGregor of Seattle and granddaughter Laura Robbins MacGregor.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.

My condolences to the family of Ms. Boyne, at this most difficult time. How comforting it is to know that your loved one now asleep in mankind's common grave have the prospect of resuming life in a wonderful new world free of all the present-day causes of distress and death.

Elsie was a member of the Bosse Class of `1941,Miss Wills homeroom and a sub-debber. She will be greatly missed by her friends and classmates.

My condolences to Paul and Bryan and their families. While working for Bob I came to admire and appreciate all that Elsie was and did.
