Norma L. Berning
     

Norma L. Berning, 87, of Clearwater, Florida, formerly of Evansville, died Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at Sable Palms Nursing Home with her daughter, Karen, by her side.

Norma graduated from Bosse High School in 1942. She was employed by L. Berman Company for 17 years of the Assistant Personnel Director. Norma was a member of First Cumberland Church. She loved to go on cruises with her husband, Francis, (Chi). She was also a member of Turners and Corterie Dance Club, but her greatest pleasure was being surrounded by grandchildren.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 68 years, Francis Berning; daughters, Karen Berning and Carole Seibert; 4 grandchildren, Micahel McCarter and wife, Sandy, Michele Starkey, Kim Seibert, Todd Seibert; 6 great grandchildren, Leah, Natasha, Olivia, Griffin, Anna, Colin; niece, Paula Flittner, and nephew, Dale Moore.

Norma is being laid to rest at Parklawn Cemetery in Evansville, Indiana at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday surrounded by her family.

Karen and Carole, Sorry for the loss of your mother. I have fond memories of both your parents when I lived around the corner from you on SE Blvd when we were in grade school and high school. Please know that you and your families are in my thoughts.

I am so sorry for your loss. I worked at L. Berman Company with Norma in the early 60's for a short time. She was a pleasure to work with and always seemed to be in a good mood.
