Joan, I am truly going to miss Al, when he would come in for his hair cut. It always started with a very good joke. Oh how i wish i could remember a good joke or story the way he could. Such a kind man.
He always made sure he said a big thank you Tom; we also had a few laughs about how you wanted his hair cut......Great smile and I am so glad I was able to call him not only a customer, but a friend.
Thoughts & Prayers with you and Marsha

Well first of all I would like to give my condolences, Joan I want you to know that you could have not had a more respectful and loving husband. I worked with Al for several years at combs, and you were the topic of a lot of chats that we had over the years. I don’t believe that a day went by that he did not talk about you, Marcia, and Aaron, especially Aaron he was very young then but he was Al’s pride and joy. I respected Al very much, for his quick wit, and for his knowledge which he was willing to give as long as you were serious about learning. I learned a lot, I still teach others what I learned; I think that’s why Al taught me. We worked a lot of side jobs, trimming bushes and such; these were very special times for me because I had no grandpas growing up. He filled a special void in my life, as well as a lot of others’ lives I suspect.
Sincerely, Troy Hamner, Evansville, Indiana

Joan, Al was a very special person; you know that more than anyone. We feel very honored and privileged to have had him in our lives. I'm sure somewhere the angels are gathering to listen to some of Al's stories. God bless you both. We will miss him. Our thoughts and prayers are with you both.

Joan, My deepest sympathies to you and your family. You know how special Al was! His memory lives on at my home. He designed the landscaping in front of my newly purchased house when we both worked at PVC. I think of him often and the beautiful work he's done. He will not soon be forgotten! You are in my prayers, Sweetie!
