Elenora D. Hicks, 79, of
Evansville
, passed away on
Sunday, June 13, 2004
, at her home. Elenora graduated from
Bosse
High School
in 1942. She was a member of the National Honor Society, secretary of her senior class and a member of the Bosse Band. She was employed at Servel Inc., from 1942 to 1950. Elenora graduated from
Evansville
College
in 1946, and in that same year was football queen.
Elenora received a master's degree in education from
Indiana
University
in 1969. She taught at Harrison High School in the Business Education Department from 1964 to 1979.She was the business manager for her late husband, Dr. E. William Hicks, DDS, who preceded her in death on May 4, 2003. She was a long time member of The Methodist Temple and was active in the Evansville Dental Auxiliary.
She is survived by her son, Steven W. Hicks and his wife, Renee, and her daughter, Carol Hicks Schaefer and her husband, James, all of
Newburgh
; and four grandchildren, Tori Ann and Alexandria Schaefer and Stefanie and Kyle Hicks.
Services will be held
11 a.m.

, with Rev. Robert Coleman officiating.
