Edna Mae (Breedlove) Vasseur, age 77, passed away May 9th., at Select/Methodist Hospital in
Indianapolis
, with family at her side.
Edna, "Eddie" was born
September 10, 1927
, to Albert Breedlove and Lillian Porter of
Evansville
. After graduating from
Bosse
High School
in 1943, she worked in the county recorder's office, Vanderburgh County Home and retired from St. Mary's
Medical
Center
in 1986 after more than twenty years in nursing.
In 1953, she married D.C. Vasseur, her loving husband of 45 years, who passed away in 1998.
She is survived by her two sons, Kirk and Brett, both of
Indianapolis
; three grandchildren; her sister, Joy Payne; her best friend who was more than a sister, Jane Wilkie; several cousins, nieces, nephews and many close friends.
Eddie loved to travel, play bingo, and spend time with friends. She will be remembered for her remarkable energy level, unbelievable strong will, and love of her family.
A memorial service will be held
2 p.m.
Saturday, May 14th., at Boone Funeral Home E Chapel,
5330 Washington Ave.
