I missed out on knowing my uncle as a child, but God made sure I didn't miss out on the gift of knowing him as an adult. He is a true inspiration for us all, whose life ended the way he lived, with a generous act of kindness for another! I will miss his wonderful sense of humor! Vickie

Good Morning with our wishes and prayers for your well being in this difficult time. I keep thinking of your friendship through the years and how it has enriched our lives. Last night I searched my memory and then looked for and found a business card I had received from a man I worked for in real estate many years ago. This is the message printed on the back of the card.
"The Measure Of Man" Not how did he die, But How did he live. Not what did he gain, But what did he give. These are the units to measure the worth of a man as a man, regardless of birth. Not what was his station, But had he a heart, and how did he play his God given part. Was he ever ready with a word of good cheer, To bring back a smile, to banish a tear. Not What was his church, Nor what was his creed, But had he befriended those really in need. Not what did the sketch in the newspaper say, But how many were sorry he passed away. " Dick surely revealed to all the real measure of man, he measured up to all the above words. Dick leaves a legend of love, sharing and caring for you, his family, those of us he accepted as friends and the many he befriended that were in need. God be with you this day and always.
