Lewis G. Oswald, 82, of Evansville, died on Saturday, August 11, 2007, at Deaconess Hospital.
Louie was a graduate of Bosse High School in 1943 and of Evansville College in 1950. He served in the United States Army, in Europe, during World War II and was a prisoner of war. Louie is a member of VFW Post #1114 and the American Legion Post No. 0008. He had worked in the accounting department at Servel and Bendix-Westing House. Louie retired in 1989 from Wabash Plastics.
He is survived by his son, Bill of Evansville; his daughter, Susie of Indianapolis; and his brother, C.E. Oswald of Evansville.
Louie is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou, on September 27, 2003.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 15, at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 South Hebron Avenue, Evansville, Indiana 47714, with Pastor Rob Massey officiating.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, August 14, at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Vanderburgh County Humane Society, P.O. Box 6711, Evansville, Indiana 47719-6711.
