Saturday, October 13, 2007 2:38 PM Bill.. Jane Walker just called with the information that Joan Rosencranz has just died this last week-end. Jane had talked to a niece of Joan's, who lives in Newburgh. Joan had recently moved to a new address ( probably why we have not been able to reach her by mail), and has been having big heart problems. The niece said her heart just wore out and she past away.

I'm sure you remember Joan, a pretty girl who lived next to the Bayard Park library. I remember dancing to Glenn Miller music in her basement. I last saw Joan in 1998. After our 55th reunion luncheon, Glen, Dee, Joan and I
had dinner at a Newburgh restaurant. Her niece, with whom Joan was staying, lived in Newburgh facing the river.
In high school, Joan was managing editor of the "School Spirit", president of "Quill and Scroll", president of " Victory Corps Community Service", and member of National Honor Society. She enjoyed her many friends in
a "Sub-Deb" club.
Several of us had tried to call Joan during the past year, but didn't get an answer. Probably because she had moved from her daughter's home to another location.
We will miss her.
-- Bill
