Clifford C. Searcy, 83, of Fishers, Ind., passed away September 23, 2008. He was born April 10, 1925, in Mount Vernon, Ind., to Zollie and Carrie Kershaw Searcy. A brother, Zollie Jr., proceeded in death.
Clifford retired from Kraft Foods in 1989 as director of International Risk Management. He had the opportunity to travel the world during his employment with Kraft. His entire working career was in the field of property and casualty insurance with Indiana Insurance Co., College University Insurance Co., P.R. Mallory, Dart Industries in California and Kraft Foods in Glenview, Ill.
Clifford served in the U.S. Army during WWII, was a [1943] graduate of Evansville Bosse High School and University of Evansville. He was a member of Northminister Presbyterian Church, Philo Fraternity, a 50-year member of Evansville Lessing Lodge No. 4647, Elks Lodge of Naples, Fla., and former member of Service Club of Indianapolis. He volunteered at Naples Hospital and for Meals on Wheels.
Clifford was husband of 57 years to the late Barbara Russell Searcy and is survived by two children, a son, Colin Scott of Haymarket, Va., and a daughter, Bryn Searcy Cieciura of Fishers, Ind.; six grandchildren, Jason, Cathryn and Nathan Searcy, Caitlin, Adam and Caroline Cieciura; and one great-grandchild, Ashton Searcy.
Visitation will be Saturday, September 27, 2008, from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. at Northminister Presbyterian Church, 1660 Kessler Boulevard East Dr., Indianapolis 46220, with funeral services to follow at 11 a.m.
