Marjorie (Sidener) Schutte, of Evansville, passed away Friday, May 1, 2009, at her home. She was born October 5, 1925, to Silas and Esther (Farrand) Sidener. Marjorie graduated from Bosse High School in 1943. During WWII she worked at Briggs helping make wings for Corsair planes. After the war she worked in the printing department at Ohio Valley Hardware. She married John A. Schutte, February 7, 1953. He preceded her in death on February 9, 1989. Marjorie enjoyed flower arranging, baking and being with her family. She is survived by sons, Michael of Mt. Vernon, Ind., and Thomas of Owensboro, Ky.; daughters, Deborah (Jim) Eagleson of Newburgh, Jennifer (Tom) Long of Brownsburg, Ind., Dianna (Jim) McKinley of Mt. Vernon, Ind., Jackie Schutte of Evansville, who lived with her and was her loving caregiver; and a sister, Delores Skelton. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 5, 2009, at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin St. with the Rev. Ken Steckler officiating, Burial will be in St. Matthews Cemetery in Mt. Vernon, Ind. Friends may visit with the family from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday at Pierre Funeral Home. The family requests memorial contributions be made to Deaconess Hospice Care in lieu of flowers.
