Rosemary (Niedermeier) Oberhausen


Rosemary (Niedermeier) Oberhausen, 81, of Dallas, N.C., formerly of Evansville, died Nov. 29, 2007, at the Gaston (N.C.) Memorial Hospital.

She was a native of Vanderburgh County, Indiana, born March 12, 1926, in Evansville, Indiana, the only daughter of the late Carl S. and Margaret Kathryn Weber Niedermeier.

Ms. Oberhausen graduated from Benjamin Bosse High School in 1944. She worked as a stenographer at the Keller-Crescent Printing Company from 1943-1948, and in later years as senior secretary at the University of Southern Indiana in the School of Science and Engineering Technology, moving to North Carolina in 1993. While in Evansville she was a member of the Cullen Avenue Christian Church (now Crossroads) where she served in both youth and seniors ministries.

She is survived by two daughters, Amy Weisgerber and husband, Joe, of Dallas, N.C., and Carol Benjamin of Longmont, Colorado; two grandsons, Jarod Ewers and Mark Weisgerber, both of Dallas, N.C.; brother, Carl Niedermeier and wife, Bettilou, of Gig Harbor, Washington; sister-in-law, Linda Niedermeier of Charlotte, N.C.; and a niece, four nephews and a great-nephew.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Marla Jean Oberhausen, and brother, Dr. Thomas P. Niedermeier.

Memorial service 3 p.m. Sunday at Chapel of Dallas Funeral Home, in Dallas, N.C. Officiating will be the Rev. Keith Copeland. Memorial contributions in loving memory of Rosemary Oberhausen may be sent to Evansville Christian Life Center, 509 S. Kentucky Ave., Evansville, IN 47714
