Mary Bee (Bell) Thienes

Mary Bee (Bell) Thienes, 82, of Evansville, passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2009. She was born May 25, 1927, in Morganfield, Ky.

Mary was full of life and always enjoyed the little things in life. She attended Bosse High School [1945]. Mary worked for Steinmart.

She was survived by her 3 children, Gina Rodden of Dyersburg, Tenn., and Rita (Ced) Riecken and Mark Thienes of Evansville; her sisters, Dot (Bill) Whitehead, Phyllis (Ken) Newcomb, Bettie Jo (Fred) Hermann and Rita (John) Speis; grandchildren, Mark (Lori) Rodden, Casey (Karen) Riecken, Jeff Rodden, Matt Riecken and Jill Rodden; and great-grandchildren, Jacob Rodden, Carson Rodden, Chloe Riecken and Mary Grace Rodden.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, George Thienes on September 15, 1993; sisters, Virginia Scurlock and Kay Morgan; and her parents, Birdie and Mary Lena Bell.

Services will be held 9 a.m. Friday, June 26, 2009, at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Rev. Todd Bussey, with entombment at Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit Thursday from 2 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
