Marilyn J. (Buehler) Fischer

Marilyn J. (Buehler) Fischer, 82, of Noblesville, Ind., formerly of Evansville, died Dec. 30, 2009, at the Riverview Hospital of Lou Gehrig's Disease.

She was born in Evansville on Oct. 21, 1927, to Clarence and Mary (Rodrian) Buehler. Marilyn was a 1945 graduate of Bosse High School. She was employed by Prudential Insurance Company for 13 years. Her passionate personal interests included: nature, animals (especially to the preservation of wolves), running, biking, horseback riding, and tennis. As an avid award winning photographer, she loved to photograph people and wildlife. Yellowstone Park was her favorite place.

Surviving family of Marilyn includes her husband of 58 years, Ralph Fischer; their two daughters, Dr. Karen Fischer-Weddell, married to James Weddell of Noblesville, and Dr. Linda Fischer Malone, married to Max Malone of North Vernon, Ind.; five grandchildren, Jami, Nicole and Lauren Weddell and Katie and Ava Malone; and sisters-in-law, Doris Buehler and Edna Angermier.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Buehler.

Marilyn will be remembered for her smiling face, love of life, having fun, intelligence, dedication to her family and friends, great spirit, and amazing warmth. She didn't know a stranger. She touched the lives of those lucky enough to know her.

Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday, January 4, 2010, at Boone Funeral Home, East Chapel, 5330 Washington Avenue, Evansville, Indiana. Burial will be private in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in Evansville.

The Bosse Class of '43 is very sorry to hear of this loss. For several years Marilyn wrote the newsletters for our class, and it was always nice to see her as she accompanied Ralph to all of our reunions. One of the most fun loving people I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. My sympathy to Ralph, Karen, Linda.. I'll miss her smiling face and keep many happy memories of of our times together. I'll miss her so much.
