Delores E. (Brown) Schneider, 81, of Evansville passed away Saturday, August 21, 2010, at St. Mary's Medical Center. She was born on February 2, 1929, to Earl L. and Myrtle E. Brown.

Delores was a 1946 graduate of Bosse High School, who was proud of the fact that she never missed a class reunion and was a charter member of Terrace Parke General Baptist Church.
She worked for Whirlpool and Ordinance and St. Mary's Hospital where she first worked as a dedicated nurse's aide, unit secretary and later as a supervisor in St. Mary's mail room.

Delores was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Edith Kuehn and Josephine Bates; brothers, Robert Brown and Dan Brown. Delores is survived by her husband, George O. Schneider; daughters, Jacqueline Sanders (Mike), Deborah Riley (Ron) all of Evansville and Patricia Buck (Steve) of Mount Vernon; son, Steven Duke (Holly) of Oklahoma City, Okla.; grandchildren, Andrew Sanders (Libby), Brandon Sanders (Mandy), Lacey McGathy (Mike), Nichole Riley-Doud (Jonathan), Jeremy Riley (Stephanie), Shawn Riley, Laura Buck, Ryan Buck, Benjamin Duke (Jessy) and Clinton Duke; 17 great-grandchildren; sisters, Rosalie Travers, Geraldine Rathgeber (Curtis) and Darlene Baumgart (Vernen); brother, Roy Brown (Evelyn); sisters-in-law, Yvonne Brown and Carol Koewler; brothers-in-law, Ivan Bates and Delmar Duke; mother-in-law, Dorothy Cook; stepdaughter, Annette Chilten; stepgrandchildren, Jamie Bye and Chrissy Tennes; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Wednesday August 25, 2010, at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., with Pastor Bob Kennedy officiating, burial to follow at Garrison Chapel Cemetery in Tennyson.

Friends may visit from 2 until 8 p.m., Tuesday August 24, 2010, at Browning Funeral Home.
