Martha Jean (Camp) Haering, 82, of Evansville, passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2011, at VNA Charlier Hospice Center. She was born August 6, 1928, in Evansville.

She graduated from Bosse High School [in 1946] and attended the University of Evansville. She was a Credit Associate at JC Penney for 30 years and was a member of Church of the Cross. She was a talented artist and loved to draw. She touched the hearts of all the people she knew.

Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Alan Rhodes Haering, in 1995; son, Gary A. Haering, in 1997; parents, Russell and Lois Camp; and brother, James J. Camp, in 1996.
She is survived by her daughter, Darla Jean Haering of San Francisco, CA; brothers, Stephen E. Camp of Newburgh and Paul D. Camp of Fairbanks, AK; and sisters, Mary Ellen Weiss of Mt. Vernon and Ruth E. Stephens of Evansville.

Services will be 1:00 PM Saturday, April 9, 2011, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Rev. Dr. Keith Wilhite with burial in Park Lawn Cemetery. Friends may visit Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM and Saturday from 12:00 PM until service time at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Church of the Cross, 5401 East Lloyd Expressway, Evansville, IN 47715.
