James Fauntleroy "LeRoy" Smith, 78, of

LeRoy was a United States Army veteran serving during the Korean War with the Army Medical Service and was assigned to the 406 Medical General Laboratory in
LeRoy was a 40-year member of
LeRoy was a member of the American chemical society and the American Society of clinical pathologists. He is survived by one daughter, Karen L. Lindsey and her husband, Rev. Larry Lindsey of Evansville; one son, Kevin L. Smith of Evansville; four grandchildren, Jeremy Paul Lindsey and his wife, Rachel of Elgin, Ill., Heidi Lindsey McDevitt and her husband, Colby of Fort Collins, Colo., Heather Lindsey Strycker and her husband, Kyle of South Bend, Ind., and Emily Ruth Lindsey of Evansville; one sister-in-law, JoAnn Bohrer of Evansville; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel L. (Bohrer) Smith on June 19, 2006, and by his brother, Thomas H. Smith. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 29, 2007, at
