Lula Anna (White) Schnapf, 84, of Newburgh, passed away August 28, 2011, at VNA Charlier Hospice in Evansville. She was born October 21, 1926 in Evansville, IN.
She graduated from Bosse High School in 1946. She worked in the Dietary Department of Evansville State Hospital, and retired after 15 years of service. She was a member of Gateway Baptist Church in Newburgh, and a member of the Oak Grove Homemakers Club for over 50 years. She enjoyed painting, cooking, decorating cakes, and arts and crafts. She dearly loved her friends and family.
Lula was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Schnapf; twins, Robert Earl and Roberta Ann Schnapf; parents, John and Gladys White; step-mother, Mary White; brothers, Herbert and Jack White; sisters, Margie Salms, Mary Lou True, Phyllis Howard; and sister-in-law, Margaret Healy.
She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Schnapf; son, Timothy Schnapf, both of Newburgh; granddaughter, Rebecca Nicole Schnapf; sisters-in-law, Clara Vaught, Charlene Fisher, Irma Metz, Ikuko White; and several special friends.
Services will be 10:00 AM, Saturday, September 3, 2011, at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, 5333 State Road 261, Newburgh, IN, officiated by Rev. Glen Flowers, with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit Friday, 2-8 PM, at the funeral home.
