Doris Jean "Mickey" (Finke) Griffin, 75, of Evansville, died Friday, April 15, 2005, at Deaconess Hospital.

She was a 1947 Graduate of Bosse HS and a health and physical education teacher at Bosse and Harrison high schools.  She was also a volleyball coach at Harrison High School. Mickey retired in 1988, after 37 years with the Evansville-Vanderburgh School Corporation.

Doris was a member of Inland Marina Yacht Club. She retired to North Fort Myers, Florida, and returned recently to Evansville, Indiana.

Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Nolan B. Griffin [Bosse Class of 1945].

She is survived by a brother, Charles Finke and wife, Becky; nephews, Jason, Daniel and Aeron Finke; and great-nephews, Seth, Zachary and Cody.

Services will be held 11 a.m. on Monday, April 18, 2005, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Reverend Ernest Stair, with entombment in Oak Hill Mausoleum.

Friends may call today, Sunday, April 17, 2005, from 2 to 6 p.m., and Monday from 10 a.m. until service time at Alexander East Chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children.
