Jane L. (Lanoux) Austin
Evansville resident Jane L. (Lanoux) Austin died Friday, Aug. 15, 2003 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville. She was 74.
Jane was born Aug. 1, 1929 in Evansville to Frank and Anna Louise Lanoux. Jane graduated from Bosse High School in 1947, where she was a cheerleader. She was a member of Newburgh Presbyterian Church. She loved to cook for and dance with her husband of 54 years, Frederick L. Austin.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Anna Louise Lanoux.
Jane is survived by her husband of 54 years, Frederick L. Austin; two daughters, Cynthia Wright of Newburgh, and Michaele "Miki" Wittmer and her husband, Chuck, of Downers Grove, Ill.; grandchildren, Scott Wittmer, Julie Schaefer of Downers Grove, Ill., Josi Nino of Bolingbrook, Ill., Jim Wright of Indianapolis, Tom Wright of Chicago, Ill. and Will Wright and Ben Wright, both of Newburgh; a brother, Jim Lanoux of Henderson, Ky.; a sister, Noreene Angel of Louisiana; and many relatives, cousins and friends.
Funeral services were held Monday, Aug. 18 at Alexander East Chapel.
