Bettye J. (Cobb) Koch


Bettye J. (Cobb) Koch, 76, of Newburgh, passed away surrounded with love and support from her friends and family Thursday, November 1, 2007, at St. Mary's Medical Center. She was born November 4, 1930, in Evansville.

Bettye graduated from Bosse High School in 1948. She and her husband owned and operated Damon-Koch Studio. She also worked as a customer service representative for Tri-State Trophy for many years. Bettye loved her dog, Desirre.

She attended Bethel United Church of Christ.

Bettye was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin L. Koch in 1998; mother, Madeline Cobb; sister, Patty Morgan; and uncle, George Martin.

She is survived by her daughter, Karen S. Kelley and husband, Bill, of Evansville; daughter, Jana L. Fulkerson and husband, David, of Jasper; grandchildren, Kyle Kelley of California, twins, Charles McAllister and Crystal Smith, Amy Chambers and husband, Adam; great-grandchildren, Alexis Smith, Baby Smith on the way and Damien McAllister; and father, Guerdon Cobb of California.

The family would like to give a special thanks to friends and neighbors who shared much of her life, to CVICU at St. Mary's Medical Center and the Palliative Care Group.

Services will be 1 p.m. today, November 3, 2007, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Rev. Don Bernhardt and Janet Kelley, with entombment at Alexander Park Lawn. Friends may visit today from noon until service time at the funeral home.

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.

I saw so much love in your mom and dad for each other it was the type of love you could only wish you would have one day.

Your mom and dad were very good to me when I was a teen. Your dad taught me the skills of photography and years later I open my own lab and studio in RI.
