Eveyonne Anne (Klein) Overfield, 80, of Evansville, passed away Monday, February 7, 2011, at Columbia Healthcare Center. She was born January 25, 1931, in Evansville.

She graduated from Bosse High School in 1948 and was active in the reunion committee for many years.

veyonne graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Evansville in 1952. She started teaching first grade at Centennial Grade School and taught until 1956 when she started having children. She was then the Director of Adath B'Nai Israel Temple Nursery School. After receiving her Master's Degree in 1968 from the U of E she taught at Columbia School and was later transferred to Delaware School, retiring in 1990.

Eveyonne was a member of Christ United Church of Christ and Delta Kappa Gamma Educational Honor Society, where she was a past Chapter President. She was the first President of Beta Sigma Omicron Sorority, which is now Zeta Tau Alpha at the U of E, and a member of Evansville Retired Teachers Association.
She collected Dept. 56 lighted houses, butterflies and angels. She had collected 672 angels from all over the world. Eveyonne also enjoyed gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.

Following retirement Eveyonne and Bob enjoyed camping adventures throughout the US, and touring other countries, including Great Britain, Scotland, Ireland, Wales, Europe, Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Australia.
Eveyonne was preceded in death by her parents, Sylverius "Buster" and Ruth (Kuebler) Klein.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Robert "Bob" E. Overfield; children, Rosalind Anne Scherrer. of Plainfield, Ind., Denise Elizabeth Shipley, and husband, Mark, of Minneapolis, Minn., and Gayle Annette Baker and husband, Peter, of Indianapolis; granddaughters, Kaitlin and Robyn Scherrer and Colleen and Amy Baker; and grandsons, Carson and Colin Shipley.

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday, February 11, 2011, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Pastor Kendall Brown, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Thursday from 2 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
Eveyonne's family would like to extend a thank you to the staff at Columbia Healthcare and Dr. Ray Nicholson for their special care.
