Mary "Sue" (Medcalf) Edwards
Mary "Sue" (Medcalf) Edwards, 75, of Evansville, died tragically due to unfortunate circumstances at her residence on Thursday, November 10, 2005.
Sue graduated from Bosse High School in 1948.She retired after a long time sales career which included beauty products and home improvement. She recently worked part time as a home caregiver.
Sue attended Eastminster Presbyterian Church. She was a member of the Keyboard Organ Music Club.
Sue enjoyed Elvis Presley music and horse racing at Ellis Park.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Nellie Medcalf and her half sister, Nell Little.
Sue is survived by her sons, Mark S. Runge of St. Peters, Mo.; Jeffrey L. Runge of Hazelwood, Mo.; and John "Mike" Runge of Newburgh; daughter, Christa A. Minick of Dallas, Texas; grandchildren, Kyle S. Runge, Rachel A. Runge, Dawn A. Runge, Jacob L. Runge, John W. Runge, Casey B. Runge, Sarah A. Runge and Kody S. Minick; great-grandson, Brandon Michael Strouse; two step grandchildren, Angela McCord and Kevin McCord; five step great-grandchildren; and her niece, Barbara Blank of Miami, Fla.
Visitation will be held Sunday, November 13 from 2 to 7 p.m. at Alexander East Chapel. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday, November 14, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Reverend Ernest Stair with burial at Alexander Park Lawn.
