Marian Ione Wyber
Marian Ione Wyber, 78, of Newburgh, Indiana, died on Friday, October 3, 2008, at Angel River Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Marian was born August 10, 1930, to John and Ione (Brookins) Wyber in Evansville, Indiana. Marian graduated in 1948 from Bosse High School. She was also a 1952 graduate of Indiana University with a degree in fine arts.
She taught art at Washington Elementary School and was later a librarian at the University of Evansville. Ms. Wyber was active in the Adult Literacy Program and was a volunteer at Wesselmans Nature Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, John Wyber, and sister, Ann Claycomb.
She is survived by her four nephews, Jeffrey Wyber, Thomas Wyber, Joel Claycomb, all of Evansville, and Robert Claycomb Jr. of Dallas, Texas. She is also survived by great-nephews and nieces, and great-great nephews.
Services 11 a.m. Friday, October 10, 2008, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Rev. Janet Kelley, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit Thursday, October 9, 2008, from 5 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.
