Ray L. Clark


Ray L. Clark, USAF, (Ret.) CMSGT, age 74, passed away September 5, 2006, in San Antonio, Texas.

He was born April 5, 1932, in Owensboro, Kentucky, to the late Claude E. and Lillian Looney Clark. In 1950, Ray graduated from Bosse High School in Evansville, Indiana. He then joined the U.S. Air Force and retired after 24 years of service. He also served with the Masons, the Scottish Rite Shrine, and was a Kentucky Colonel. He was the owner of RASUCO Inc., which was known as 11th Frame Coffee Shop-Lounge, and was also the previous owner of the Cross-Eyed Cricket Deli.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Dorothy Rose Sutton.

Ray is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Clark; daughters, Raedeanne Weinstein and husband, Edward, Susan Hopple and husband, Daryl, and Colleen Foster and husband, Gary; brother, Daniel Clark; sister, Shirley Fair; grandchildren, Stephanie Johnston, Rebecca Oelschlager, Christopher DeWild, Sarah and Ashley Peckenpaugh, Elizabeth and Robert Hopple; and 7 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends this evening, September 7, 2006, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Church of the Resurrection, Episcopal, 5909 Walzem Rd. in San Antonio, with an 8:30 p.m. vigil/Masonic service.

Services 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 8, 2006, at the Church of the Resurrection, Episcopal.

Masonic services will be conducted under the Auspices of Randolph Lodge No. 1268 A.F. & A.M.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ray's name to Church of the Resurrection, Episcopal, 5909 Walzem Rd., San Antonio, Texas 78218.
