John William Rose, 74, of Petersburg died Thursday, May 24, 2007, at Daviess Community Hospital in Washington, Ind.
He graduated from Bosse High School in 1950 and was stationed in Alaska as a mechanic with the Air Force. He was a member of the American Legion in Vincennes.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Winston B. and Patsy A. Rose.
John is survived by his wife of 26 years, Diane, of Petersburg; daughter, Sandy Falco and her husband, Michael, of Chicago; sons, Steven Rose, of Chicago and John Rose, of Oaktown; daughters, Wanda Lee Schwartze and her husband, Jon, and Constance Rose, both of Petersburg; sister, Mary Anna Rose, of Evansville; brother, James C. Rose and his wife, Marilyn, of Carrollton, Texas; grandchildren, Amanda, Melissa, and Brylee; and one great-grandchild, Anthony.
Services will be 1 p.m. Sunday, May 27, 2007, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Reverend Ernest Stair, with burial at Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may visit Sunday from 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
