Mary Ann (Williams) Conaway
     

Mary Ann (Williams) Conaway, 79, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, died at a respite care facility in Las Vegas, Nevada on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 after a long battle with cancer.

Mary Ann was born June 7, 1932 in Evansville, Indiana to Evans and Elsie Williams. She graduated from Benjamin Bosse High School in Evansville, Indiana in the class of 1950. In 1952 Mary Ann married Willard Sumner, divorcing eight years later. Together they had three daughters. She married Monte Conaway in 1962 and moved to California. Their marriage ended in divorce in 1971. Mary Ann lived in both Torrance and Redondo Beach, working at Intercontinental Transport for 15 years and Northrop for 12 years. She retired to Las Vegas, Nevada, where she resided for the past 16 years. She enjoyed the nightlife of Las Vegas and was a collector of perfume bottles.

Mary Ann is survived by three daughters: Debbie Rogers and Tammy Sumner of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Vickie Alley of Humble Texas; seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

A service will be held at a later time. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Capital Hospice.
