Donald A. Wurtz, 73, formerly of Evansville, died at his home in Orlando, Florida, on Friday, June 8, 2005.

He graduated from Bosse High School in 1950, and attended Lockyear Business College. Mr. Wurtz was a Navy veteran. He had retired from the Orlando Convention Center. He was a member of the Pershing Avenue Christian Church in Orlando.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Paul and Maribelle Wurtz; and a son, John Allen.

Mr. Wurtz is survived by his wife of 40 years, Marilyn; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Lorraine Wurtz of Evansville; son, Bill Wurtz of Evansville; sister and brother-in-law, Bonnie and Glenn Howard of Henderson, Ky.; three grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Graveside services and visitation will be at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in Evansville on Friday, July 22, 2005, at 10 a.m.
