Patricia Ann (Carter) Mitchell, 77, of Newburgh, formerly of Chula Vista, Calif., passed away at 9:35 a.m. Tuesday, June 22, 2010, at Angel River Health and Rehab Center.

Patricia was born January 31, 1933, in Evansville to Franklin and Mildred (Marshall) Carter. She graduated from Bosse High School in 1951.

Patricia was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police in Chula Vista, Calif., and was a homemaker.

She was of the Protestant faith.

She is survived by her brother, Don Carter (Shirley) of Henderson, Ky.; and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 51 years, Charles Mitchell.
Private funeral services will be held at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel, 5330 Washington Avenue, Evansville with Todd Hancock and Casey Hancock officiating.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Saturday, June 26, 2010, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Riley's Hospital for Children, 702 Barnhill Drive, Indianapolis, IN 46202.
