Jack Clark Parkhurst, 71, of Evansville, died at11:43 a.m. Thursday, October 6, 2005, at St. Mary's Medical Center. Jack Clark Parkhurst was born in Bloomfield, Missouri, in 1934 and graduated from Bosse High School in 1951. He worked at Cooke Chevrolet for 38 years as an automotive refinisher. He then was self-employed, along with his son, Tony, at Parkhurst Paint and Body before retiring in 1998.He was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of Lessing Masonic Lodge #464 and the Hadi Shrine. Jack loved his grandchildren, his great-grandchildren and working on cars. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Jessie (Jones) Parkhurst; three daughters, Jackie Waters of Elberfeld, Ind., Wanda Zilliach of Elberfeld, Ind., Patty Calvert of Evansville; three sons, Tony Parkhurst of Raleigh, N.C., Sam Keown Jr. of Cynthiana, Ind., Joe Keown of Cynthiana, Ind.; his mother, Fannie Belle (Sietz) Parkhurst of Evansville; two sisters, Mary Schu of Newburgh, Ind., Peggy "Cookie" Dierlam of Daytona Beach, Fla.; seventeen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his father, James Parkhurst, in 1996, his sister Aleyne Marshall in 2002, and his brother, Russell Parkhurst, in 1996. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, October 10, 2005, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel, 5330 Washington Avenue, with Pastor Karl Crowe officiating, continuing at Echols Baptist Church in Echols, Kentucky, with Pastor Jeff Evans officiating. Burial will be in the Echols Baptist Church Cemetery in Echols, Kentucky. Friends may call from 2 until 8 p.m. Sunday, October 9, 2005, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
