Mary Anna Rose, 74, of Evansville, died February 12, 2009, at St. Mary's Medical Center. She was born to the late Winston and Patsy A. (Finch) Rose.
She was a 1952 graduate of Bosse High School. Mary Anna received her B.S. degree from Ball State University and her M.S. degree from Indiana University. She taught business education and coached tennis at Bosse High School. Mary Anna sold real estate part time for Century 21.
She was a life member of the National Education Association. Mary Anna was also a member of Indiana Retired Teachers Association and the Evansville Area Association of Realtors.
She was an avid Indiana University basketball fan and enjoyed golfing and bird watching.
Mary Anna was preceded in death by her brother, John Rose.
She is survived by a brother, James C. Rose and his wife, Marilyn of Carrollton, Texas; sister-in-law, Diane Rose of Petersburgh, IN; nieces, Sheryl Skattum, Rhonda DiFurio, Denise Marsh, Wanda Schwartze, Constance Rose, and Sandy Falco; and nephews, Jeffery Rose, Steven Rose, and John R. Rose.
Services will be 2 p.m. today, February 14, 2009, at the American Baptist Church-East, 6300 Washington Avenue, officiated by the Rev. Kim Skattum.
