Paul H. Gregory

Paul H. Gregory, 70, of Evansville, died Friday evening, May 5, 2006, at home surrounded by his family.

He graduated from Bosse High School with the Class of 1953 and attended Evansville

College (now University of Evansville).He served in the U.S. Army Reserves.

Paul was a member of Northeast Park Baptist Church. He sang in the church choir and served in various capacities until he was unable to attend because of ill health. He loved music and was an accomplished soloist.

Paul was a devoted family man and was happiest at home. He enjoyed working in his yard as long as he was able.

He retired in 1998 from American General Finance after 38 years of service.

Paul was a former member of Downtown and Eastside Kiwanis.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul C. and Verna (Sullivan) Gregory and his brother, David A. Gregory.

Paul is survived by his wife of 49 years, Marjorie "Marty" (Farmer) Gregory; daughters, Brenda Gregory of Evansville and Susan Fisher and husband, Tim of Newburgh; son, Andrew Gregory and wife, Cathy of Fishers, Ind.; grandchildren, Jill Fisher, Ryan Fisher and Alaina O'Rear.

Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 9, 2006, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Reverend Howard Matthews, with burial at Alexander Park Lawn. Friends may visit from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday at Alexander East Chapel.
