Billie E. Miller


Billie E. Miller, 71, of Evansville, passed away Friday, November 30, 2007, at Westpark Rehabilitation Center.

Mr. Miller had been employed in sales and finance for Credit Thrift. He was also a former restaurant owner and operator.

Billie was a 1954 graduate of Bosse High School and a 1958 graduate of the University of Evansville. He was a member of the Jaycee's, the Aces Booster Club and while at UE, he was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. He was an avid UE basketball fan, loved to play and watch golf and enjoyed his dogs.

Mr. Miller is survived by his wife of 52 years, Shirley (McCarter) Miller; his daughter, Susan Hurt and her husband, Nick, of Evansville; and two grandchildren, Jacob and Noah Hurt. Also surviving Billie are his aunt and two nephews.

A memorial service was held for Mr. Miller on Monday, December 3, at 10 a.m. at Pierre Funeral Home, Mr. Paul Rupprecht officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the University of Evansville Scholarship Fund or the Vanderburgh County Humane Society.

I am so sorry to hear about your lose. I was one of his Tech's when he was in St. Mary's on the 4th floor. Even through hard times, he was cheerful. Just remember, God has went out and picked a beautiful rose for his garden. Billy was a beautiful rose. Pam Hornby
