John Edward "Jack" Davis, 69, of Indianapolis, formerly of Evansville and Boca Raton, Fla., passed away on April 12, 2007.
Jack was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Davis, and is survived by daughter, Debbie Dewey of Henderson, Ky.; son, Dan Davis of Evansville, and son, Mark Davis of Torrance, Calif.; brothers, Chuck Davis of Boca Raton, and Dick Davis of Medora, Ind.; sister, Mary Myers of Carmel, Ind.; and grandchildren, J.P and Anna Dewey, Samantha, Grant, Dylan and Bridget Davis.
Jack graduated from Bosse High School [1956?] in Evansville. He worked at Sunbeam Bread, Prudential Insurance and once owned the Old Virginia Tavern in Evansville. He later worked on oil rigs in the North Sea and Far East before moving to Florida to manage vacation properties. Jack's greatest pride and joy were his children and grandchildren.
Private graveside services will be held on Monday, April 16, in Boca Raton.
