Sue Ellen (Ahrens) Bereman, 67, of Indianapolis, passed away April 25, 2008.

She was born November 10, 1940 in Evansville, to the late Victor and Inez (Christmas) Ahrens. Mrs. Bereman was a graduate of Indiana University and worked as a registered nurse in Evansville, at Deaconess Hospital, Harper Elementary School, and Bosse High School [1958]. She was a faithful member of Immanuel United Church of Christ and served on the Board of Directors at Fletcher Place. Her husband, William H. Bereman, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her brothers-in-law, Jon A. Bereman and Robert (Barbara) Bereman; and two nephews, Matthew (Julie) Bereman and Michael Bereman; along with a host of friends within her church community.

A funeral service will be conducted at noon today, May 1, at Immanuel United Church of Christ, 402 Prospect Street, Indianapolis.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of the service today at the church. Care and arrangements have been entrusted to the Leppert Mortuary, Nora Chapel 740 E. 86th Street, Indianapolis.
