James Phillip Gadau, 63, of Evansville, passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2008, at his residence. He was born July 7, 1945, in Olney, Ill.
Jim was a graduate of Evansville College. He retired from Whirlpool after 33 years of service. He served in the U.S. Army for two years and was a member of the Vanderburgh County Right to Life. Jim enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren especially watching their sporting events.
Jim is survived by his daughter, Brigitte Kissel of Evansville; son, Brett Gadau of Elberfeld; son, Bart Gadau of Evansville; brother, John Gadau of Champaign, Ill.; granddaughters, Samantha, Madison, and Makenna; grandsons, Mackenzie, Andrew, and Mason; one great-grandson; one niece and one nephew.
Services will be 1 p.m. Sunday, December 7, 2008, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Rev. Rick Bender. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. at Moravian Cemetery in West Salem, Ill. Friends may visit Sunday from 11 a.m. until service time at Alexander East Chapel.
